“Screenagers”

The new documentary “Screenagers” points out that the AVERAGE child spends more time with electronic media than he or she does in school.

That’s 6.5 hours, not including schoolwork. But don’t get all high and mighty, parents and other adults. The kids are seeing you do the same thing and/or you’re giving them free rein, buying them smartphones and ipads at particularly young ages. So what? One test divided a classroom of 60 preschoolers into 2 equal groups. One watched the equivalent of online content; the other drew with crayons. The latter scored considerably higher on a post-experiment cognitive test. Here’s a trailer to “Screenagers“.
