Anxiety Counseling, Right in Our Backyard

Whether your child’s anxiety has it’s roots in trauma, grief, or another reason you can’t put your finger on, you have a local resource at your hands.

The University of Rhode Island’s Psychological Consultation Center (PCC) houses the Child Anxiety Program (CAP) clinic. CAP’s goal is to address childhood anxiety and provide parent training/support. The program includes:

  • A comprehensive intake evaluation with you and your child
  • Coordination of care with your medical and school personnel (as appropriate), and
  • Individual sessions with the child and sometimes with parents.
